Food Delivery Policy
GENERAL
Duaba Afro Foods hereby informs customers that orders will be delivered within 1 – 5 working
days (excluding weekends). All Orders after 12am on Thursday will be shipped on Monday.
Customers are allowed to provide delivery instructions when placing their order, such as requesting the parcel to be left with a neighbour. However, Duaba Afro Foods shall not be held liable for any lost or stolen parcels resulting from specific delivery instructions left for the carrier.
In the event that no one is available to receive the delivery, the delivery driver shall leave a
calling card containing instructions on how to rearrange delivery. Duaba Afro Foods shall
promptly notify customers as soon as their parcels leave our facility and provide an estimated
time of arrival (ETA) on the day of delivery.
Duaba Afro Foods is not responsible for any customs and taxes applied to your order. All fees
(including tariffs and taxes) imposed during or after shipping are the responsibility of the
customer. Duaba Afro Foods shall have the exclusive rights to decide, amend, and modify the
delivery terms (including but not limited to return, refund cancellation etc.) and fees.
Regardless of the effort we put in to meet all delivery deadlines, we do not warrant the delays
may not happen because of postal/carrier delays, logistics, bad weather, or any other natural or
unnatural event which is beyond our control. However, we will keep you updated as much as we
can, and you should be able to track your parcel’s progress
ADDITIONAL DELIVERY TERMS
Duaba Afro Foods hereby notifies customers that we deliver to all UK postcodes, including
Northern Ireland. Duaba Afro Foods hereby also notifies that Orders placed before noon on
Mondays to Thursdays will be dispatched on the same day.
We hereby inform customers that once their order leaves our warehouse, a delivery tracking
notification will be provided, along with an Expected Time of Arrival from our third-party
delivery partner. Subject to the terms of this policy, We typically deliver orders between 1 – 5
business days upon receipt of the order, excluding weekends.
The orders placed on Thursdays after 12 noon containing fresh items such as bread, plantain, onions, etc., the order will be dispatched on the following Monday. In the event that the customer will not be home on the day or time of delivery, our delivery partners may provide an option to select a ‘safe place’ or divert the delivery to a neighbour.
The delivery cost starts at £5.99 (please check out the “shipping rates & delivery estimates”
clause) and is calculated based on the total weight of the basket and the delivery location. Please
read our full “shipping rates & delivery estimates” clause below for more details. Please note that
delivery times and costs may vary depending on the delivery location and weight of the items in
the basket.
The delivery cost of the basket is incremental and is based on the total weight of the customer’s
basket. The delivery cost shall be calculated at checkout based on the weight of the items in the
basket and the delivery location will be clearly displayed to the customer before they confirm
their order. A minimum basket value surcharge applies for orders under £15.
SHIPPING RATES & DELIVERY ESTIMATES
Duaba Afro Foods reserve the right to change the delivery cost at any time, without prior notice
to customers as we adapt our prices in line with prices offered by our Delivery Partners. We advise customers to regularly review our delivery terms and conditions to keep up to date with any changes to the delivery cost.
