CORN HUSK

Description

Dried corn husks, use as food wrappers for cooking. Soak in hot water and use corn husks for wrapping tamales before steaming or to wrap delicate foods such as fish for the barbeque. Makes about 22 tamales. Double, triple or quadruple corn husks to wrap larger items of food such as whole fish. Torn husks can also be doubled up or used for tying parcels.

Please note: corns husks are dried in the field on the corn stalks, as such, they are a rustic product. They are not intended to be eaten but used as a natural food wrapper that is home compostable. Please expect some to be spotty or unevenly coloured, this does not affect the food that is to be wrapped.
